Some hear the word snacks and immediately get excited. Then hear the words healthy in front of snacks and feel way less excited. Healthy doesn’t always mean not tasty. In this blog post, I’m going to share some healthy snacks that are better for your health and yummy. One major bonus about healthy snacks is after eating them you generally feel energized, instead of groggy like you may feel with less healthy snacks.
I know people tend to indulge in more snacks when they’re working from home and the kitchen is steps away so this post will be very beneficial for those concerned about their health. Of course, I’m no one’s dietitian and you should always use your best judgment when deciding what to consume. I compiled 10 snacks to choose from below.
I’ve tried many healthy bars and I must say two stand out from the rest. Kind bars are my favorite granola bars. I specifically buy the Kind Healthy Grains chewy with a crunch option. They are gluten-free, have 100% whole grains, and are about 150 calories or less depending on the flavor. My favorite flavors are the dark chocolate chunk and almond butter dark chocolate.
Core bars are my favorite overnight oats bars. They come in a variety of flavors, although the chocolate peanut butter is my go-to. They are packed with probiotics and prebiotics which are wonderful for your gut health. If you don’t know why your gut health is so important, check out this post.
I LOVE ice cream. It is my absolute favorite dessert. At the beginning of quarantine, I found myself eating cartons of Ben & Jerry’s. While I believe everything is fine in moderation, I prefer to have a healthy alternative whenever I can. Yasso bars are an amazing alternative to ice cream. They are 100 calories or less and made with creamy Greek yogurt. They come in a bunch of flavors and can be found at your local supermarket. My favorite flavors are cookies ‘n cream, pistachio, chocolate chip cookie dough, and black raspberry chip.
Pick your favorite fruits and go to town. I like to mix my favorite fruits in bowls and snack on them. Fruit is refreshing and tasty. It is also packed with natural sugars, nutrients, and satisfies your taste buds similar to your favorite treats.
If you enjoy adding dips with your fruit, you’ll love this snack. Apples and almond butter are delicious. I love gala or pink lady apples and the Trader Joes almond butter.
This is a protein and probiotic packed snack. I like to buy the vanilla flavored Chobani yogurt then add assorted nuts, granola, and blueberries on it.
I love Trader Joe’s dark chocolate almonds. For someone with a sweet tooth like me, they are very satisfying. They’re really great for dessert, just be careful of your serving size so you don’t overdo it in one sitting.

There’s nothing like a yummy smoothie. I love eating mine in the morning or right after a workout. This has become one of my go-to snacks lately. I slice tomatoes and add mozzarella cheese. So delicious, it sorta reminds me of pizza! You can also add spinach, your favorite seasonings, and balsamic vinegar if you like.
I typically chop up my celery and pair it with Trader joe’s roasted garlic hummus. Not only is this snack low calorie and tasty, but it’s also very filling.
This arguable isn’t the healthiest snack on the list but it is a lot healthier than regular chips. As a girl who grew up eating Cheetos and Ruffles cheddar and sour cream chips, switching to kettle chips was difficult. However, as long as you monitor your serving size, these kettle chips are a great snack. I enjoy the Lays brand the best.
