The Black Lives Matter movement has reminded me to be more conscious about where I spend my money. I did an audit of where my money is spent and realized that it’s rarely spent on Black businesses. I want to change that and I’m sure many of you do too! But you don’t have a compiled list sectioned off by category just yet. I’m creating one for all of us so we all can start supporting more Black-owned businesses.
This list includes beauty, skincare, jewelry, food, wine, home decor, personal development, and bookstores that are black-owned. I’m going to conscientious be adding on to this list, so make sure to add it to your Google Drive or bookmark this blog post to refer back to it. Also, if you’re in NYC, I have a helpful list of Black-owned restaurants here.
